# EDI

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is a standardized format for exchanging electronic business documents between organizations. EDI is a method for transmitting business transactions, such as invoices, purchase orders, and shipping notices, between organizations in an electronic format, rather than using paper-based documents.
